Troy Garrett, Executive Director for the Virginia Association of Housing and Community Development Officials (VAHCDO), recently made a visit to Bristol and Southwest Virginia to meet with local members. This is part of an effort to make regional visits throughout the Commonwealth so that members may keep abreast of Association happenings and resources available to them.
On August 29th, VAHCDO hosted a meeting for all PHA Executive Directors throughout the Commonwealth. This provided a wonderful opportunity to discuss mutual concerns and to strategize for future activities. Meetings such as this can only strengthen the organization as it seeks to provide support for its membership in serving housing needs. A big “thank you” to Virginia Housing for providing meeting space for the event.
