Since 1985, the Public Housing Authorities Directors Association(PHADA) has recognized and rewarded academic excellence in public and assisted housing youth through its scholarship program.
PHADA has implemented a scholarship program for graduating seniors preparing to enter college. The program aims to encourage academic excellence and community responsibility. Applicants must reside in PHADA member agency public or assisted housing. The BRHA is a proud member of PHADA.
The following three scholarships are available:
- Stephen J. Bollinger Memorial Scholarship (One scholarship available: $7,000)
- Civil Rights and Social Justice Scholarship (One scholarship available: $5,000)
- Nan McKay Pathway to Achievement Scholarship (One scholarship available: $5,000)
Applications for the 2024 Scholarship Program Are Due to PHADA by January 26, 2024. NO EXCEPTIONS!
