Bristol Redevelopment and Housing Authority is pleased to welcome Bryan Horn as the new Director of the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). Horn received a Bachelor of Science degree (with honors) in physics from Roanoke College and a JD and LL.M. from Duke University School of Law.
He brings years of experience to the organization. He is a skilled attorney whose primary areas of practice were construction law, eminent domain law and general commercial and real estate litigation. While at his firm, Horn led its Construction Law and Eminent Domain Law Practices, and he also was the managing director from 2016-2019.
Horn advocates for issues related to type one diabetes and is a current member of the Virginia Community Board of Directors for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He is also a member of the 2016 Class of Sorensen Institute of Political Leadership at the University of Virginia.
We want to congratulate Mr. Horn and look forward to continuing to partner with DHCD under his leadership to advance affordable housing and broadband access throughout the Commonwealth.
