SERC-NAHRO (our regional industry association) Fall Workshop was held November 3-5, 2019. BRHA Executive Director, Ms. Lisa Porter, and Ms. Lynn Pannell, BRHA Resident Services Manager, participated in Small Agency Task Force (SATF) sessions addressing community partnering and building resilient communities.
Non-traditional partnerships with like-minded organizations can help PHAs do more to meet the non-housing needs of our clients for a more holistic approach to ending the cycle of poverty.
Ms. Lynn Pannell, BRHA Resident Services Manager, addresses the topic of “Trauma Informed Care” at the 2019 SERC Fall Workshop. Understanding the causes of trauma and the effects that trauma have in the life of an individual, helps us to listen to them in such a way that we can build a CONNECTION. And, families will become STRONGER!
