The Little Ten Housing Authorities of Southwest Virginia honored founding member John E. Black at its April meeting. After many years, Mr. Black recently retired as Executive Director of the Norton Redevelopment and Housing Authority. He is a Past President of the Little Ten and of the Virginia Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (VAHCDO). He is also fondly remembered as having a leadership role in the annual golf tournament held by the Southeast Regional Council of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (SERC-NAHRO) which is a fundraiser for scholarships.
