It is with saddened hearts that we bid a fond farewell to Christy Napier, an asset to our entire organization. Christy started out as a receptionist at Bristol Redevelopment and Housing Authority on December 31, 2016. In September of 2017, she was promoted to the voucher department were she served until the end of her retirement. When she started her work in the voucher program, she was practically rebuilding the program, not a small feat, but her love for the tenants and her strong relationships with our landlords became a powerful combination.
Christy is a jack of all trades. Her work tenure has touched several fields, from managing a fine jewelry store, to manufacturing custom rubber stamps, to teaching crystal classes, and owning Bristol Bagel and Bakery, all leading her to the housing industry. Christy shared that the voucher program allows people to be independent and become viable members of the community and it felt like the most rewarding accomplishment giving people that opportunity. The tenants, landlords and our staff will all greatly miss Christy. We wish her the best in this next chapter of her life.
