October is packed with fun things to do! Take a look at just a few things we have lined up.
The BRHA Kids Club will be going to Stickley’s Farm on October 18th at 5pm, this is the rescheduled date due to inclement weather. Participants must be BRHA residents or voucher recipients. Parents are welcome to attend with their children. RSVP with Camilia at 276-821-6251. This year each family will be able to enjoy the farm and it’s activities at their own pace, the trip will be more of a family outing and less like a field trip. You don’t want to miss it!
It’s hard to believe it’s almost time for our annual Trunk or Treat event! This year it will be held on October 25th at 5pm, in the Rice Terrace parking lot. If there is rain, we will move to the Resident Services Building. If anyone is interested in donating candy, this can be done at the front desk of our Admin Building or The EnVision Center. Donations must be unopened individually wrapped candy. If your organization is interested in setting up a trunk to hand out candy, please contact Camilia at 276-821-6251. We appreciate the help and support of the community. We hope to make this the best Trunk or Treat yet!
Fall festivities are not just for kids! Our seniors have helped with fall events before, as they love to be included in anything that allows them to help with the kids in our community. Before they help with our annual Trunk or Treat, we wanted to treat them to something fun that is just for them. Our senior/disabled group will go to Stickley’s Farm on October 9th at 10am and enjoy the farm’s pumpkin patch and all its activities. We cannot wait to show you the fun they have!
Boys and Girls Club will celebrate Red Ribbon Week on October 21st through October 25th. Red Ribbon Week is a week-long campaign that raises awareness about drug and violence prevention, tobacco, alcohol, and smoking in the United States. Take a look at the events Boys and Girls Club has planned for the week. On Friday, you could head out to basketball, the cookout, and then over to Trunk or Treat with us!
