After serving for sixteen (16) years as a member of the Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners, Dr. Gary Poulton will be retiring his gavel on June 30th. He has been an instumental part of the organization as he served during a time that saw the birth of two low-income tax credit developments, the emergence of the EnVision Center, the designation as a Moving to Work (MTW) agency, funding received for the upcoming Goodson Hills and Morning Meadows housing developments, and a renewed emphasis on resident services. Dr. Poulton has long been an advocate for programs that directly benefit the residents, including the Kids Club and its activities that are aimed at broadening the horizons of its members so they can begin to “Dream Big” for their futures. He has often stopped by to participate in neighborhood events such as National Night Out and recently encouraged a voter registration initiative for BRHA clients. During his tenure on the Board, Dr. Poulton has served terms as both Chair and Vice-Chair. He has made a positive impact on our agency and our clients. Thank you, Dr Poulton, for your years of service to BRHA!
