As most people are aware, Rice Terrace has been around since 1940. Have you ever wondered about its history? Here are just a few interesting facts: The William Rice Terrace Apartments recreation room was where the Central Baptist Church started as the Rice Terrace Mission, founded by Mrs. Ida Allison in 1960. The mission grew with the help of Rev. Willard Tallman and Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church to become one of the largest churches in Bristol.
