Once a month the BRHA is proud to host the Bristol Coalition, a group of 31+ partnering organizations with the shared mission of supporting residents of the greater Bristol area.
This collective allows us to share resources and ideas, enabling us to build a more resilient community.
This month the spotlight is on Highlands Community Services, an organization committed to “improving lives and discovering possibilities” by providing the highest quality continuum of behavioral health care, creating a center of excellence for all individuals seeking mental health, substance use or developmental services.
Among their many offerings is the Strengthening Families Parenting Program. One of three parenting programs, Strengthening Families is a family-focused parenting class for parents, grandparents, and caregivers. The class is offered at two locations; the Lee Street Baptist Church in Bristol, VA and the HCS Children’s Campus in Abingdon, VA.
Participants receive a free class, fresh meal, child care, gas assistance, parent workbook, connections to community resources, and certificate of completion. For more information and to sign up, please contact:
