BRHA PARTICIPATES IN MANDATED ANNUAL POINT IN TIME COUNT

The Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is an annual one-day count of sheltered and unsheltered homeless individuals and families across the United States. This years PIT was conducted on January 25th. For more than 20 years, BRHA has had a staff member participate in the data collection.

This year, BRHA participated in the PIT by being stationed at Hunt Memorial. The day center at Hunt Memorial provides access to a portion of the population that is surveyed for the Point In Time Count. The day center offers food, showers, laundry facilities, and clothing to those in need. Open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays and Fridays, the facility serves between 35 to 50 people per week. The services provided by Hunt Memorial are a true reflection of Bristol’s generosity and caring for its community. Thank you Hunt Memorial!! We also want to acknowledge the Salvation Army, Haven of Rest, and Family Promise for the services they provide to the unsheltered in Bristol TN/VA.
