Two young Bristol Redevelopment and Housing Authority residents, Kendon and Braxton, were honored at a reception by special guests: Delegate Israel O’Quinn, Legislative Aide Jacob Holmes, Superintendent of Bristol VA City Public Schools Keith Perrigan and Bristol VA City School Board Member Frank Goodpasture for their wins at the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) “What Home Means to Me” poster contest. Kendon’s art won the grand prize and was featured on the cover of the 2022 NAHRO “What Home Means to Me” Calendar. Braxton’s work appeared for the month of May. NAHRO framed Kendon’s original artwork as part of her acknowledgment. Both sisters were grateful for the show of support by these community leaders!
