BRHA was recently awarded 15 Emergency Housing Vouchers by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) effective July 1, 2021. A total of 696 Public Housing Authorities nationwide were awarded Emergency Housing Vouchers (authorized by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021).
Emergency Housing Vouchers are provided to help assist individuals and families who are (1) homeless, (2) at risk of homelessness, (3) fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking, or (4) recently homeless.
The Continuum of Care continues with our partnering agencies, including People, Inc., Abuse Alternatives, United Way, and others.
