Birthplace of Country Music Museum
In the spirit of the Smithsonian Museums, which offer free admission every day, Museum Day Live! is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket…for free.
Pre-register using the red “Buy Tickets” button on the BCMA website to receive two free passes that may be redeemed at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum on Saturday March 12, 2016.
New for March 2016 is a special edition of Museum Day Live!, providing an opportunity to the public, especially women and girls throughout the U.S. to enjoy and share in our nation’s dynamic heritage and cultural life. As part of this national theme, the Birthplace of Country Music museum has partnered with the YWCA TechGYRLS to produce a short radio show, researched, written and performed by students in the TechGYRLS after-school enrichment program. The completed radio show will air on WBCM Radio Bristol at 1 P.M. on March 12. The program will also be streamed into the museum’s performance theater at 1 P.M. for Museum Day Live! visitors.
