Management Assistant

The Bristol Redevelopment & Housing Authority (BRHA) is seeking a qualified Management Assistant to assist in daily operations of 436+ units of public and/or affordable housing, including tax credits, on multiple sites within the City of Bristol, Virginia. This position will be responsible for taking applications, verifying data, conducting annual re-certifications, inspections, and creating and maintaining both written and computer tenant files. Regular duties require the exercise of considerable judgment and initiative in carrying out day to day operations.  Knowledge of HUD and tax credit regulations on tenant selection and verification procedures is a plus.  Work involves considerable public contact.  High School Diploma or GED required.  Degree in social work, public administration or closely related field and property management experience desired  Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
