Highland View Elementary Featured on NBC’s TODAY Show

Highland View Elementary and its Principal, Ms. Pamela Davis-Vaught, were featured on the TODAY show!

Principal Davis described the ongoing efforts to ensure that every child in every school in the City of Bristol, does not GO HUNGRY. Mrs. Davis is commended for her efforts to ensure the nearly-200 students enrolled at Highland View receive healthy, adequate meals throughout the day, helping to end the fight on child hunger.

Highland View serves the Johnson Court community and many voucher families. They often come on-site for school-related activities. BRHA appreciates all the Bristol City Schools who serve our Residents!!

BRISTOL, Va. — Highland View Elementary School in Bristol, Virginia was featured on the “Today” show Tuesday morning in the fight against child hunger.

Principal Pam Davis discussed the fight against child hunger at the school. With the help of partners in the community, including churches and “No Kid Hungry,” kids at the school can have three meals a day.

Earlier this year, Davis was honored in Washington, DC for her work in partnering with local and state agencies to support hunger programs at the school. Share Our Strength, an organization which works to end childhood hunger, named Davis the Educator of the Year.
