The Bristol Redevelopment and Housing Authority, at the February 2019 regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, awarded a contract to Summit Design & Engineering (with offices in Virginia and North Carolina) to prepare a Master Plan. The Master Plan is BRHA’s strategic tool for the redevelopment and/or asset repositioning of current housing inventory, and for potential expansion into other affordable housing and community development opportunities.
The Master Plan will include a market analysis and other deliverables that together, will provide the framework for BRHA to assert itself as the leader in affordable housing in the Bristol Community. The Master Plan will be a pathway for future redevelopment and operations of the Authority and will consist of a housing study, market study, evaluation of current housing, evaluation of current operations, and input meetings with residents and other stakeholders. We look forward to using this tool as we continue to “Grow with Bristol.”
